Good OP, I was wondering the same thing last night... I use Lime Food as a post shave balm and was thinking of getting a soap to go with...
The Shave Den (dot com) for pure lime. Og BR-lime-peppercorn for non-pure.

Come to think of it I don't think I've tried a lime soap only creams. This is going to get interesting.

Exactly! Fresh enough to taste! Not a sweet/jello lime, not a sour/rind-like lime; just fresh lime juice plain and simple.
QED is the standard in single note lime scented soaps.

I have. It's a fine quality soap, but I didn't care for the smell. It's a very sickly sweet lime scent. Some have described it as "candy lime" and I would have to agree with them.

You'd think a straight ahead single note soap scent would be very similar to each other, but that's not really the case. For whatever the reason, not all of em react the same to my sniffer.
Years ago I went through a small lime soap phase and tried maybe 4-5 different versions. Used a few different Sues, the QED that Charles makes, and also JoAnna's Shave Den product. I looked for both performance and scent, and settled on TSD. The performance was very good and the fragrance reminded me of a toned down Castle Forbes. Her product does require a little wetter brush than usual for best results......took me a few times to figure that out.

ummm, duh....IanS Spiced Lime...
Staight off the puck it can eve smell like cleaning products. Conk products are quite decent to use though.
More of a cream than a soap, but look at Basin Brand lime shave.
I much prefer tallow based soaps to glycerin, and the Trumpers lime is terrific, but QED gets my vote.

Barring the sudden resurrection of Tryphon Lime, I would have to go with the QED. Having said that I am a big fan of the Mama Bear Lime Ice, though the menthol does mute the lime scent considerably.
