Best $25 beginner brush?

My brother came over tonite and I told him my plan of a custom RV for my dad's bday that's coming up (got him some Mikes for Father's Day). He seemed interested in the whole thing, so I showed him around my li'l den, gave him a demo of my BLK8 and some Mike's, along with a tour of my DE's. He ended up leaving with samples of TOBS coconut and some T&H grafton ASB to take home, but he didn't have a brush, so I told him to just make some lather with his hands and use his Fusion with it.

He's using the creams tonite, so when he tells me he loves them (which I'm sure is coming), I'm gonna order him a starter brush and give him one of my soaps.

To the point: what are some suggestions for a good starter brush in the $25 range? I'd prefer badger suggestions, as a boar might turn him off if it's not broken in, but nothing in the pure badger range. So, I guess I'm asking, what's the best cheapest finest badger brush out there?

The only full sized $25-30 badger brush I'd consider buying for myself or someone else right now, would be the VintageBlades badger brush for $30+ shipping.

Never used one, but they get great reviews and look nice for the price.

I don't even think you could make a TGN for that price. WD also has some brushes in this price range, but I'd still opt for the VB...my WD sheds more then our mutt.

Omega boar brushes are absolutely amazing, but those are not an option for you.

If you have a hard cap of $25, then just buy any decently reviewed badger that fits in that price range.

Boar brushes tend to have high quality at low price points, but badger brushes generally don't. It doesn't matter either way. Either he likes it and decides to move up or he hates it and quits. With both options he will get a new brush at some point.

If you go up to just $40, you will open up a lot of really nice badger brushes and even some silvertips. I would go for this option only if you are absolutely sure he is going to stick with it.
