Am interested in grabbing myself a small brush for travel. As the price is nearly the same, which of these two would you pick and why?
Haha I have spent enough lately, and am just wondering what the opinions are when it comes to Berkley vs Scot. But thanks for suggestion.I know it's not in your original question, but perhaps consider a custom brush from Rudy Vey or another custom brush maker. It will be a bit more expensive, but you can have something made exactly how you want.
I switched my travel brush from the Wee Scot to the Classic (it fits in the travel tube). Nothing against the performance of the Wee Scot, I just prefer a larger brush.
There's also the Case to consider as well-kinda like splitting the difference between the two, and fit's in the dedicated Simpson tube, unlike the Berkley which will require some other travel tube solution. I have all three-and maybe I haven't unlocked it's secret yet-but too me the Wee Scot is a bit of a novelty, a very cool brush to own, yes, but in practical terms a novelty. The Berkley while on the smaller size, is a great little brush and one that I use frequently-when I'm not using one of my many boars . The Case performs similarly to the Berkley- a scrubby little face latherer-but is not too significantly smaller. From what I've heard the Classic 1 also fit's in the Simpson Tube.
When I do travel I usually bring my Omega #11047-mixed boar/badger-tiny handle, BIG knot, and CHEAP. On my next upcoming trip in a couple weeks, however I think I will give the Case a shot.
Omega -mixed boar/badger is a great one too, firm backbone, this little buger is good on soap and cream
