WTB Beginner Fountain Pens

I'd like to buy a few beginner fountain pens. I'm not looking for disposables, as I have enough Pilot Varsity and Zebra Zensations to last a while. A few ideas, but you probably know better than I do:
Pilot Metropolitan.
Jinhao X450.

As you see, I'm a fan of the metal bodies. Plastic is good, but I have a worry of over-tightening and stripping the threads.

I'm also looking for beginner ink. I'm partial to greens and blues. If it matters, I'm a lefty.

I'm located in the CONUS and just set up a PayPal account.

I don’t have one to sell you, but the TWSBI Eco is a fine writing pen for not much money. Parker Quink is pretty quick drying which may be helpful for a lefty.

I have a Rotring Core I could sell you. Bullet-proof and a smooth writer. Never skips. Doesn't dry up. Really nice beginner pen. PM me if interested.

I had to look that one up. I've heard of Rotring but not the Core. Funky.
