There was a certain richness missing. Expected a touch more chocolate, a little more intense spice, a heavier mouth feel. There are many Christmas stouts that outperform it. Makes me yearn for Xocoveza, which i haven’t had a few years running now.In what way did it fall down, Rick?
Wow, that's a weird one! I wonder if IP means India Pale? So, a malty, reddish, highly hopped lager.Schremser Vienna I. P. @ 4.8 ABV
This must by a hybrid. It says unfiltered bottom fermented Vienna Lager but it’s chock full of Cascade and tastes like a Pale Ale.

Everything but the reddish part fits so most probably yes, India Pale.Wow, that's a weird one! I wonder if IP means India Pale? So, a malty, reddish, highly hopped lager.
Yes, now that I think of it, Vienna malt isn't red. A little darker than pale or pilsen malt, but definitely not red.Everything but the reddish part fits so most probably yes, India Pale.
Great pairing there, sir!
Hmmm... odd. Maybe look for that Snow on the Maple Tree stout from Clown Shoes? As I recall, that one worked pretty well. There was a certain richness missing.
