16.3 ABV! Holy smokes.... how'd that sit?

Lol! You noticed that! I actually took the full pour photo, then split it with my son.

Category 5 is aged in Chardonnay barrels and hides that ABV much better than some bourbon barrel beers. Still could feel it! I think this is the highest ABV I have seen.

Wifey looked in the fridge and yells “Is this a real beer?!?”

First stop post surf: Point Ybel Brewing. This is a DIPA called Point of Return. 8%. Dry hopped. Reminds me of Six Point Resin.

Just a double IPA. More flavor and higher ABV than an IPA is how I differentiate them. Someone else might know the finer points!

I got a few new ones to try this week. Mostly pumpkin beer since ’tis the season. Gotta be at least one I like!

Been a while since I've had a wee heavy. "Glasgow Kiss" is a soccer term meaning a head butt; I'm assuming directed at another player rather than the ball. This one's from Starry Eyed Brewing. A sipper at 9%, with a raisin/caramel sweetness. Reminded me of a port. Went down well, very happy I tried it!

Had a couple of these tonight. Not an overly NE-style, but fresh and a good “middle ground” betweeen a real east coast hazy and a west coast IPA. Much better than the last couple beers I’ve had from Fremont.
