Beer and Bacon Tasting

I'm going to my first beer and bacon tasting on Saturday night:

Five cuts of bacon paired with five seasonal beers.

This is a regular event at Chicago bar Paddy Long's:

Yeah I saw that on Groupon or Living Social not too long ago. Let us know how it turned out

Just got back from the beer and bacon tasting at Paddy Long's in Chicago. The whole thing cost $16 total with a discount from Living Social.

Here are the bacon pictures, and the menu:

Round One
Pilsner Urquell paired with Irish bacon


Round Two
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale paired with pepper bacon


Round Three
Metropolitan Krankshaft Kolsch paired with Danish double smoked bacon


Round Four
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid paired with country smoked jowl bacon


Round Five
Stone Smoked Porter paired with brown sugar bacon


My favorites were rounds four and five, although the pairings of beer and bacon flavors were excellent in all five rounds.

Chicago-area people: They do this event regularly, and it's highly recommended.
