What's new

Been gone awhile....

Been very negligent on posting lately. So I thought I would share my mail calls and newest members of the tribe from the last couple weeks.
A British Flair Tip Rocket, which operated smooth as anything I've used. And after a long hot soak and some light polish shined up fantastically!
A never-used Ever Ready C40 boar brush which I have been enjoying breaking in the last couple weeks. It whips up an AMAZING lather.
A British Parat which may even operate smoother than the Rocket!
A gold Milord with only minimal wear on the end caps, and some lacquer wear on the doors (which I may just look into removing altogether and then put on a new, fresh coat). The Parat and Milord courtesy of @NoScrubs
And from IB I finally got myself a SLOC with the barber pole handle, and a new bottle of blue barbershop to feed my growing preference for the "blue" scents.

My father always used an Ever Ready C40 boar brush. The handle is particularly classic (Fine Accoutrements reproduces those with synthetic hair).

Wow where’d you find an unused everyready?! That’s such a classic brush. When my cheap badger finally sheds itself to death i’ll be looking for that exact brush so any help on where to find an NOS one is appreciated!

It was one of those amazingly fortunate finds on the 'bay. I had actually never seen one before with the brass ring around the knot, so I jumped on it.
The gentleman who sold it said he only listed it as used because he didn't have the original packaging, but he agreed it wasn't used.
Sure as heck SMELLED like it hadn't been used lol.
Here are the listing pics before the bristles started breaking in:
