What's new

Been busy today.

I finally spent some time this morning fitting new sacs on a bunch of pens that I picked up recently. They're drying now, will dust the sacs with some talc and assemble everything after lunch. Life is good...:biggrin1:

The 4th one down looks just like a Scheafer that I have, it also needs a sac.
That 4th one (the small green marble pen) is actually a Moore. I just inked it up and gave it a try. The nib is really, really flexible...Wow! :w00t:

Boy Larry, you have been busy indeed. Nice work and fantastic collection of pens
Thanks, James. It really didn't take long since the pens had already been cleaned out, sacs ordered and delivered, and everything ready to go. I had a little mini-production line set up: Measure the sac length, cut the sac, apply shellac to the section nipple, slide on the sac, and set it aside to dry. Then on to the next...

My favorite writer so far is the bottom pen...the red Esterbrook Dollar Pen. It just has a basic "firm-medium" 2668 nib but it writes really smooth and the size is great in my hand. It's loaded with Diamine Asa Blue, my current favorite blue ink.

Looks like fun, I'm saving a couple to do when I have a little spare time. Nice old pens!
