Beard Oil as a Pre Shave Oil

At the local grocery and retail stores, beard oil is widely available but I haven’t seen any pre shave oil. Anyone use beard oil as a pre shave oil?

I bought a bottle of Cremo beard oil to use as a pre shave oil today and it seemed to work great with my shave today.

I have some DIY oil that I use for both. Beard oil might use oils that are more targeted for hair than skin, but oils good for one are generally good for the other.

I will use beard oil as preshave oil. Works fine for me.

I've never understood beard oil. Can someone clarify and explain? Why wouldn't hair dressing work just as well on a grown beard? Hair is hair.

Beard oil sure makes my beard softer and easier to groom. I am sold on it. I can find Bulldog and Cremo locally and they both work well for me.
