So last night I brined some navy beans.To cook today.3 tbsps table salt to a gallon of water and let soak overnight .I put them on the cook around 10 am ‘..With an half an onion two garlic cloves and some thyme about three hours later they where done.Nice and soft ..
My mom use to make pinto beans, corn bread, fried potatoes and a tomato, red onion salad as another side. That was dinner every Wednesday. Leftovers on Thursday. My wife and kids don’t like it. So I’ll make a batch and freeze portions for my future cravings. I have about three portions squirreled away.
