What's new

Be honest, have you ever tasted or been tempted to taste a soap?

I promise, I wasn't the kid that ate paste in school, but some of these soaps smell so good that I wonder sometimes what they taste like. I'm not asking if you ever happened to get a bit of foam, accidentally, in your mouth while lathering. I'm asking if you ever made a conscious decision to taste the lather coming off your puck.

I've tried Cella and B&M's Nocturne...and guess what...they taste like soap. lol.

I'm in a silly mood, thus the silly question.

Always wanted to take a bite out of this...

Indeed. Just about every soap lets a "lather taste" the first time I use it. Best to know what I'm in for in a controlled test instead of getting a gob full accidentally while lathering.
BTW I also lick my wrist after getting sprayed by perfumes and stuff in malls; no good if SWMBO gets a perfume and I can't kiss her if she's wearing it.

I've been thinking that Cella might be good on pumpkin pie,

I know it wouldn't, but it sure smells like it would,

uh no.
I'll throw in another no, just to be sure.
I see soap and I see good smell and feel. If it's aromatic it can stimulate the mood as well. But taste? again, no.
I whipped up a nice lather of Mike's Bay rum and my kid walks in the room, all 6 yrs of her curious mind. She looked at the brush and said, "oooh can I lick it, daddy?". To which I replied "it's not cookie doe or yogurt, silly". I couldn't stop laughing.

Funny this should come up. I've been shaving with Mike's Orange, Cedarwood, Blackpepper for the last couple of days. If it even touches my lips the taste of the orange oil remains in my mouth for an hour. Not very pleasant.
