BBQ Sauce Recipe for Brisket

One of my buddies gave me a nice brisket, so I'm going to smoke it for Super Bowl dinner. Any recommendations for a nice spicy BBQ sauce? I usually use Eastern NC sauce with pork, but I can do Western and SC (Mustard) too. I'm looking for something different here. How about you Texans? What goes well with a nice brisket down there?

BBQ sauce on brisket? Ain't that like beans in chili?

I actually prefer beans in my chili but I have to admit that I prefer my brisket without sauce. As long as the rub is good and it isn't over cooked, there is no need for a sauce at service. But that is just one man's opinion.

Good luck on your quest.

1 cup ketchup
1 cup tomato sauce
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
2/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup molasses
2 tsp Liquid Smoke hickory flavor
1 TBS butter
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, or to taste
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

In a saucepan, whisk the ketchup, tomato sauce, brown sugar, wine vinegar, molasses, liquid smoke and butter over medium-high heat. Then add the remaining ingredients and and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes.
