So I have done a search but could not come up with anything. My grandfather and father both wore Dominica while I was growing up and I absolutely love the smell. I got the Conk's soap as well as a sample from MB and I loved both of them, but neither quite reminds me of my family. What would be the closest to the Dominica? Thanks

I haven't tried their shaving soap, but I would check out the Ogallala Bay Rum. I have tried their aftershave and I absolutely love it. The smell is great and it works wonders on calming your face after a shave. Plus that blue bottle is awesome.
I haven't used Dominica either, but I am especially fond of the scent of Honeybee Spa's Bay Rum.

I have both Dominica and ST. Johns bay rum. I find ST. Johns bay rum to be the purest and best bay rum scent, unfortunately it's the most expensive as well.
It's great in the heat down here in Florida, I actually wore it today mixed 3 to 1 with Royall Lyme. A truly great hot weather combination.

The closest to Dominica is probably Humco's bay rum. A16 oz. bottle is $11.71, plus shipping.

I thought the op was looking for a soap that was similar to Dominica Bay Rum in scent.
I've had good luck adding scent to VDH glycerin soap. Nuke, add a few splashes of your bay rum, stir and pour in to your container.
I'm not familiar with the Dominica version of bay rum, but you might give Mama

Leche was right, I am trying to find the soap that is closest to the Dominica soap. I had a sliver of MB's bay rum, and it was good but not quite what I was looking for. I will probably be getting a puck anyway!
I may also have to try scenting VDH.

Definitely ogallala & the shave soap is fantastic.
I have never smelled Dominica but I would still highly recommend Ogallala bay rum. The original scent is great but their bay rum limes & peppercorns is out of this world
+1 And you can get a generous sample of all their bay rum soaps for pretty cheap they are great to work with.
Please keep us posted if you find a good bay rum soap to match the scent of Dominica bay rum aftershave. I just tried the Dominica splash today and I think I am hooked.

I do not want to sound like I am talking down the TGQ, because I am most certainly not! I tried a sample, and it was awesome. The issue I am trying to resolve though is to find a soap as close as possible to the Dominica Bay Rum scent. I'll be going through a lot of samples till I figure it out.
Another interesting twist though. I just got Tabac and absolutely love the stuff. Since the scent, in my opinion, is faint I may just use the Dominica AS to get the desired smell. But where would the fun be in just sticking with one soap.
I think the next try will be Prairie creations bay rum.
