but then decided against it as I already have a straight

It is your typical Hart Steel Razor, just dressed up in black. I am crazy about my Hart Steel razors, they are serious razors, excellent quality, take a superb edge. If you buy a Hart of any sort always keep in mind they hone with one layer of tape and suggest you continue to do so unless you want to reset the bevel. On the black gun metal finish tape would be needed to keep the spine black. Made in the USA!

hmm... good to know...

i'm not in the market yet (still perfecting my straight razor shave)
but I really want to explore and support contemporary razors makers...
especially those in the US...
