Basic metal restore/chip

2nd razor restore for me. The heel has a small chip, is that doable to get out just with my Shapton 1500?

Also the funk that’s on this old blade, tried polishing with Brasso but this is what’s still left. If I want a better polish on the blade is the next step just grabbing some sandpaper? I have some wet/dry 400 but wondering if I need a higher grit, 1000?

You have Devil Spit on the blade .(The Black Marks). A progression of wet/dry 400 .600.800.1000,1200 and 1500 will shine the blade up and may remove some of the Devils Spit .Then use some Mass or other high grade metal polish .Good luck with your restore .Morley's are awesome shavers.

^what he said and as far as the chip goes I can barely see it. Should be no problem for your Shapton.
