So I purchased a Barbicide jar because I like the look in my den. I realize, however, that I don't need to clean my razor that thoroughly after each use and it doesn't evaporate the water. I had an idea. Dangerous, I know. But what if I put alcohol in the Barbicide jar and add a few drops of blue food coloring. This way, I have a more practical jar of alcohol but it retains the classic look. Am I nuts?

Alcohol evaporates pretty fast.

Would it evaporate as fast in a covered jar? Even so - it's cheap enough to keep refilling.
If you are then so am I as that Is exactly what I have sitting on my shelf as we speak ......
Light blue window tint on the inside of the jar, then you never have to refill it
