Bamboo charcoal pottery

I was looking for a black tea cup at Yunnan Sourcing and found this. Did a little search (not a lot) but could not find anything about charcoal pottery and tea. Anyone hear of this?

That's the first I've heard of it, but that sounds pretty cool. If I weren't already overly laden with mugs, I might be all over that.
