Balm & Splash together ? what do you do

recently been using nivea balm (small amount) and then AS splash and enjoying that quite a bit
also tried AS splash first then balm but prefer balm first

so curious how many do this and what order ?
or
you a ONLY one or the other type

I don’t always use the balm, but I frequently use it before the A/S. I think the only time I use a balm after is if I find my skin is irritated a couple of hours after shaving. Then I may go back and add some/more balm on top.

I splash first and finish with a balm. I figure the balm will also soothe any irritation caused by the alcohol in the splash. While I enjoy the sting of the alcoholic splashes I use, I believe some folks here have said alcohol is bad for the skin.

Mostly use non alcohol splashes with witch hanseland finish with a balm. This also extends the scents for me.

sometimes I get bonkers and top it of with an alcohol based as.

what would be an interesting observation if you could ask your better halve which topping tastes better also….
