Ballistol After Shave! experiment

The smell of Ballistol makes me cough, was the problem.

Okie is King of the Bootleggers! Nothing I've made has caught on.

I have got to start a thread about a bunch of left over, mostly vintage Avon Blend 7 and Everest? I think it was called. Actually smells pretty good! It also has a little Orange EO and some Tai Winds in it.


May have to force some into the PIF I'm still planning!

Never used Ballistol as AS, but I do use it as a lotion in the winter. Works decently enough.

I'd be more inclined to try emulsified Ballistol (water mix) as a pre-shave. I'd use the leftover to soften my shoes.

It stands to reason that if people can shave with olive oil, one could shave with Ballistol. Bet the razor won't rust!

It doesn’t bother me from the can. Just smells like strong licorice . It does smell like dirty feet when I put some in my little plastic range bag bottle.

I never got the dirty feet smell, unless dirty feet smell like licorice! Lol

The metal Mosin-Nagant oiler bottles: fill one side with Ballistol, the other with water and you're set for field cleaning comblock or blackpowder.
