badgers need breaking in?

So, I recently acquired a vulfix 660 medium in pure, and noticed it's quite prickly. I know that boars require breaking in, and was wondering (even if it's a smaller period) if a badger brush took a little breaking in too. Any ideas?

They do break in, but nothing like a boar brush. Over time it will lather a little better, the tips will get a little softer, and lather will flow better threw it. But a pure badger brush will always feel prickly, its just the nature of the hair.

Great logo on that brush lol Do you know who manufactures it? I have never looked into that brand.

Do you soak your boar brush?

It's a Progress Vulfix custom line for that brand. It's supposed to be packed "with up to 20% more badger hair in the knot" for more backbone.

I just know I want it to go with the cream.

And, it looks quite cheap for a super badger.

Sounds like a good deal. I almost said it was a Simpson, but I guess I'm obsessed with them anymore. At least my gut was close.

Interesting dimensions on that brush:

Bristle Diameter: 50mm
Bristle Length: 50 mm
Overall Length: 100 mm
Handle Diameter: 35mm

50-mm bristle diameter? I suppose that's the top diameter, not the diameter of the knot. But is it unbloomed or bloomed? And what is the knot size?

I have no idea, nor any idea on how to find that out. If (when) I get one, I'll let you know
