Carbon CX ++ in brass
Oumo (Ming?) badger
Stirling Frozen Tuxedo (glacial)
Stirling Island Man (glacial) AS

Thought I already posted this earlier today but I guess I didn't. Great lather from the very rarely used brush. Bigger than I prefer but did a great job. New soap and AS were pleasant. DFS+

Our relationship is improving slightly. It only lost three hairs on this third use. It remains slow to pick up soap, but it partially makes up for this by forming foamy rich lather quickly on my face.

It feels pretty good to me. It might be nice with some cream squirted from the tube into the knot for a full face lather. There is a chance it will be liked, but less versatile in its more limited capacity.

Arno 28mm, Silvertip Badger, Galactic Halberd

This brush was a custom order for my last birthday. I wanted to add a second silvertip badger to my rotation as I already had two 2-band badgers. I also really wanted a larger knot than my usual 26mm and was initially aiming for a 30mm knot. While I was discussing my requests with the owner of Arno, she recommended going for a 28mm knot instead of 30mm given the handle shape I was aiming for. I always liked Arno's Halberd handles but also really liked their dark blue / gold handles. Arno only offered this color in their "Shark" shape, so I asked them if they would turn a blue/gold blank into a Halberd for this brush. And they did.

The knot is very densely packed and incredibly large. It is set at a loft of 55mm, also on my request. Once it blooms, it is a massive knot. Maybe a bit too large, as I had to get a larger bowl to accommodate this knot for lathering. It's an incredibly well performing knot though, having no problems to lather any of my soaps and the large size kind of makes for a super-luxurious feeling. But yeah, this brush can lather up a bear for shaving.

I'm quite happy with my handle choice. The Halberd is a bit longer than normal handles, but the shapes sits really well in the hand. The length also ensures that most of the handle remains lather free during a shave.
