With natural hair toothbrushes, do you have to replace them every month or so like you do the synthetic bristles? Or can they be treated and used until death?

Just use Barbacide or Dettol once in a while. I never throw away a toothbrush, it just gets retired to cleaning duty once the bristles bloom too much.

This inspired me to buy some Perio toothbrushes, they are supposed to be extra soft, as well as some extra soft heads for my electric toothbrush. I can't find them in stores, so I ordered off Amazon.

My old toothbrush was just regular softness, the kind you get at a dentist's office (very vintage nylon look). But my gums are getting old and they don't need the extra abrasion.
