Badger Estas brushes

Hello,

I have a badger Estas brush which I like it a lot for its aesthetics. Sadly, despite having high hair density and soft tips, the backbone is close to "zero". Not a bad backbone, I literally mean "zero" backbone. Enclosed you can find a couple of pics of the brush completely open.

I have plenty of brushes, mainly synthetic and boar brushes but very little experience with badger brushes, that's why I'm asking for your opinions. Does anyone has any experience with Estas? Is it normal such a behaviour with badger brushes?

I'm grateful if someone can share his experience....

My wallet cries.
No experience with this brand, but looking at your second pic, it seems to be lofted quite high, which would make it floppy like that. It's not "wrong" or anything, just how they decided to loft it. Some of the kent badgers are like this, as well as later model rooney brushes.

I was wondering if I made a mistake (maybe hot water) and spoiled the brush. But at this point I agree with you, maybe they decided to do it this way. Thank you very much for reporting your experience.
