I know there is a big thread about wetshaving in movies but this is just about bad technique. I watched Valkyrie the other day and Tom Cruise had his DE at 90 degrees from his face. I thought Tom was more thorough in his research for a role. Dissapointed.

I'd be surprised if any modern movie showed proper technique, because nobody knows how to use these razors.
On the other hand, the older films, like North by Northwest, probably would provide a more realistic DE technique, because the actors actually used DE's.

I was watching Mad Men last night on DVD. There was a scene of Donald shaving. He didn't have a great lather but he started out the shave with proper technique. He was interrupted and stopped the shave.
Do you remember which season/episode the Mad Men shaving scene was? I kinda remember it but didn't really pay attention at the time.

There is also an episode on Madmen were he is getting a straight razor shave at the barbershop. At the end of the shave the barber gets his back massagers strapped on his hands and goes to work massaging Don's shoulders
It's only for a moment but it looks like he watched mantics videos on youtube.
