B.O.S.S. Brotherhood of Slant Shavers

The FOCS got a run out yesterday. Quick shave before the first party we have hosted since BEFORE.

Piccolo handle
PolSilver iridium (2)
vintage Old Spice grated in a shave stick
the closest brush to the sink (in a hurry!)
Stirling vetiver witch hazel

One of the most enjoyable time-pressure, high-speed shaves I have had. FOCS + PolSilver is an excellent combination - a very close shave without even trying!

How does the iKon X3 compare with its older, stainless steel twin? Do they effectively produce the same shave experience?

Alternatively, which slant razor, if not the X3, is mild enough for a daily shave?

PAA "Monster" slants
iKon Shavecraft 102
ATT S2
ATT X1
Parker SemiSlant
RR German 37
RR Stealth V3 Stainless
Merkur 37/39

Those are ones I've used and found somewhat mild. Remember that "mild" is subjective. But I find "aggressive" razors in my opinion to match up with others' assessments, so I'm probably not far off.

My experience of the X3 is that it is certainly mild. Too much so, for me. So I no longer own one. I think it was a good effort but it's run its day and they should bring back the 102. (Heh. Waving the "Personal Opinion" flag...)

 Yes, the tub contents are indeed from La Toja sticks, Tam. But I simply slice the sticks into tub-fitting shapes (with a sharp knife) then press them into the tub with my thumbs (giving a nice smooth finish for blooming and loading).

If not, to misquote @FarmerTan ... "Let's doggone start one!"

I'm actually thinking about auctioning off a one-of-a-kind thing I came up with that I THINK has 3 different vintage Avon aftershave lotions in it. Maybe it was two?
