B&M Soft Heart base

Hi all,

Just used this for the first time, lathered sandalwood from the tub, circa 40 second load, and then face lathered.

It didn’t seem to matter how much water I then threw at it, it just never seemed to soften/move on from being pasty.

I still had a decent shave and the post shave is very impressive, but I assume for this base you either need less soap or perhaps just scoop a little and bowl lather?

You had a bit too much soap, and a bit too little water. It can take a lot of water. Don’t give up on it.

I agree ! It took me about a half dozen shaves with B&M Oceana to get it “just right.” Now, it’s one of my favorites. As a matter of fact, I think I’ll use it with my trusty Simpsons Duke 2 Best and RazoRock Lupo .72 (with a Nacet) for this evening’s shave.

40 second load with soft heart will pick up a good amount of product. More water is always better than less.
