I think the same. I love the scent of waves, I just wish there would be a vegan option, because I prefer vegan soaps anyway.

I had a sample of waves at one point and remember liking it the most of any B&M scent I tried. I should order a full jar at some point. Just curious, what do you prefer about vegan soaps?

The scent of waves is one my favorite among any shaving soaps I tried. I prefer vegan soaps because I do not see really a difference between tallow and vegan ones. Martin de Candre is just an example, and I do not care about post shaving properties since I used aftershaves. So at the end vegan and tallow ones are quite equal for me when it comes to shaving properties, so why not using soaps not involving hurting animals given they are not superior to vegan ones, at least for me.

Some soaps will certainly be vegan, but not the entire line
Omnibus will remain of tallow in the future

I saw that and was really interested... I'm tempted to get the unscented offering. I probably will but already have a bit of a stockpile of soaps and creams to work through first. I'm curious what others think of the base.

I got an unscented and Roam two
I'm waiting for them to arrive

I picked up a sample of Pencil Pushers in the new vegan base. I quite like it. Maybe a fraction less creamy than the tallow formula, but very noticeably slicker. I really like the scent as well. Upon opening it does smell very much like freshly sharpened pencils, but while lathering it becomes more of a lightly scented, fresh cedar.

So in terms of performance they are similar to the Ombibus sego

I can’t speak too broadly because these samples are my first experience with B&M soaps. I ordered one vegan base and one tallow - both sample size if that makes a difference as well. After using both I find the performance very similar, but I’d probably slightly lean toward the vegan as I prefer my lather on the slick and thinner side.

The results are excellent, same mechanics and same degree of water absorption when making foam "I do face lathering"
The quality of the foam on the face is excellent, shiny and compact... it seems to be just a step below in smoothness compared to the sego omnibus but I want to try it other times.
Excellent post-shave, but I repeat I have to make a direct comparison with the Omnibus sego.
In conclusion, B&M manages to make a high-quality vegan formula, so as to satisfy even those who never use soaps with tallow.
