I've been thinking about the next contest, and the theme will be to take a picture illustrating the title 'In Motion'.
Obviously the picture must involve movement of some kind.

Thank you.

This month's theme: In Motion
Rules: You must be the photographer
One entry per month
Try to make the image a recent one.

Good luck all.

By the way, gentlemen, sorry I have not been available much lately.
I've had a family medical issue that is monopolizing most of my time.

hope all is well Allen, so i'm new to B&B so if i want to submit a photo how and where do i?

You can post a quick reply right in this thread. There is an icon which will read something to the effect of, "add photo", in the box where you post. You will be able to select photos from the web or your computer. Select the appropriate photo, upload, and give us a brief description of the photo, if you would like.

I don't like being first to post...here goes anyway. :) This is Surpise Glacier. I was able to catch a series of photos (about 30 :wink2:) of this section caving. The piece you're seeing is about the size of the average NFL stadium. The ship rocked for a good 5 minutes due to the waves created by the chunk hitting the water. This is probably one of my favourite photos ever.

The Carousel - Fishermans Wharf San Fran.

Bit over exposed 'cause I was still learning to use my new camera.....

Or perhaps Union Square. Thanks to a Timbuk2 bag, jacket and a dust bin :)

This my basement workshop and the picture is from a homework assignment in a photography class I am taking now.

The theme is in motion so notice the drill press is turning....

AKA high-key lighting. It's a photo effect created specifically to reduce the contrast ratio in a scene. Originally for technical reasons; it remains an artistic tool. If I hadn't read that you thought you had overexposed the image; I would have assumed it was intentional.

Nice shot BTW.

It may be difficult to make out, but this is a picture of my brother about to bust his butt on a skim board. Amateur photography skills, yet this makes me laugh every time I look at it!
