Keep the shavemac option for later, it's not good to start at the top right away.
I would go for the SOC 2-band, one in ash and one in cherry, you need some variation in the handle as well.

Isn’t that the truth. I had a SOC boar, and while I felt the knot was too large for ace lathering- the handle was beautiiful. The closest I’ve found to it was the smaller Semogue 1470.
