I know many of you guys are familiar with and love Azzaro PH.... but I was wondering if anyone has tried the Bois Precieux that came out in 2010. Any thoughts or comparisons are welcome. Thanks!

I haven't tried the new flanker but the original is a timeless classic. One of my favorite scents of all time.

I can't find hardly any reviews on the Bois Precieux except that someone said that he couldn't tell any difference between it and the original. There seems to be speculation that it is basically the same juice, although the notes listed on BN are a little different and Azzaro said that it is a "reformulation" of the original Azzaro PH. The notes are different..... but very similar. No ambergris in the base, like the original. I definitely looks like at the very least they were going for the same kind of vibe with it. Just curious.

That would be the original Azzaro Pour Homme. Amazing juice, but it is an 80's aromatic fougere powerhouse built on lavender, anise, and oakmoss, so not for you if you're not into that style.

Cool bottle! But the one shown above is not the azzaro ph that I have. Mine is a dark bottle not A clear bottle where you can see the amber juice.

Yes, I've never owned a bottle of Azzaro PH, but I understand that the bottle design has gone through minor changes over the years with different reformulations. Personally, I prefer the Bois Precieux bottle above.... it's very Encre Noire-ish (cubey).

.... good one. Actually, I've given up on blind buys.... I've started just buying 100 ml samples instead 
. The Bois Precieux is in the mail.... just waiting. If it's as good as everyone says Azzaro PH is.... I will probably be buying the original sometime down the road as well.My nose is not that good at deciphering the different notes in similar fragrances though. Probably, all I would be able to tell is that they are similar.... and I might be able to tell you which one I prefer.
