Aveeno lotion

I was wondering if anyone has used the Aveeno aftershave lotion. It is only $5.99 for a decent amount and there other products are high quality.

I don't see much else here about it so I may as well put in my experience. I've been using it for the past 3 weeks or so. I have the fragrance free in case there happens to be other versions.

Like most "fragrance free" products there is some scent but it's very light and I don't notice it more than 30 seconds after applying it to my face. It seems to do a good job of moisturizing.

One thing I don't like about it is my face feels slightly sticky for most of the day from it.

I just picked up some Nivea Sensitive ASB tonight and will see if it saves me from the stickiness.

Some people seem to like the Aveeno, especially for it's healing properties for razorburn and irritation.
Personally, I don't care for it and passed it along. It felt to thick and was too sticky for me as well.
I don't know how to explain it but it felt like I was wearing something on my face instead of it absorbing in.
Even after leaving it on my face for some time I still didn't like it.

The Nivea Sensitive one in the White Glass bottle is ok, it's not sticky at all but is a bit too watered down for me.
I picked it up as my first aftershave balm and probably used about half the bottle before trying any others.
It was getting some praise here when I first tried it but I haven't heard much about it lately. For me it's just ok, it's good but not great.

Since trying the Nivea one, I've tried just about all of the drug store after shave balms and found that I really like the Neutrogena Razor Defense. It's unscented and works really well. Light, clean, not to thin, not to thick, not sticky at all, and leaves my face feeling great. I highly recommend this one. It's about 6 bucks and worth picking up.

If you like the cool menthol feeling then you might want to pick up some Gillette Fusion Intense Cooling Lotion. It's unscented as well so it won't interfere with any cologne you might wear. It's in a box with the Orange and Blue Fusion branding on it. I have several more expensive after shaves but I love this stuff and use it several times a week. Gives a nice chill that lasts about five to ten minutes and just feels great on my face. This one's about 5 bucks as well and definitely worth a try.

I have not used the Aveeno after shave but when I first started I did use Aveeno skin care lotion. Don't recall noticing it being sticky, but because it is a lotion it no doubt was. However, it did moisturize my face and soothed it.

I have regularly used the Aveeno Active Naturals aftershave lotion, but I am not certain I'll resupply with it once my current tube is done. It's very pleasant, scent-free, and healing, but my face is apparently oily enough that it has trouble absorbing balms and lotions very well, so I often have to wipe away excess.

Obviously, if your skin isn't in - or, in my case, trying to relive - its teen years, these issues may not apply to your experience.

Thanks for the suggestions, I may try those out.

I've been using the Nivea sensitive for awhile and realizing I don't get the sticky feeling with it the way I had with the Aveeno, but I also don't feel like I get as much moisturizing or as much healing effect.

I have found that if I apply the Aveeno and work it in, then lightly wet my hands and just rub them over my face it seems to reduce the stickiness and leave most if not all of the healing and moisturizing.

My Nivea may not get used much anymore unless/until my technique really improves and I need less healing. I may need less moisturizing in the summer months too. If it doesn't serve for either of those cases it will be PIF or trade fodder.
