Austin, TX Migas Meetup!

OK Texas fellers, I casually mentioned a migas meetup in another thread and now SWmBO loves the idea and said "make it happen".

Well, when it comes to migas you don't have to tell me twice.

The question is when and where. I was thinking we could shoot for the neighborhood of Saturday, June 5th. Where is up for discussion. I'm partial to the Love Migas at Magnolia, but I know you guys have your favs as well. This would be a family type event, 90% migas/10% shaving (100% good company) so SWMBO's, kids, etc are all welcome.

I'm down for whatever. There's several places that do pretty good migas around Austin. I usually like the mexican dive kinda joints, like Jalisciences because they are good and cheap. I've never had them at Amaya's, but given the quality of their tacos, I doubt the Migas are bad.

I haven't been to Magnolia in awhile, sometimes the wait can be a pain on the weekends.

I tend to like the off the beaten path places too, but I haven't gotten to any of them for migas. I can help you with tripas though!

Let's get some names of places and addresses, and go from there.

Also, I only suggested Saturday on the assumption that many guys might me more able to make that day with their families, etc. The date is certainly flexible also.

I think Saturday is a good choice. That definately works better for me. The only issue you may run in to is that the more popular places will be very busy and perhaps getting in can be a pain, though if you get a decent amount of intrest maybe you can call ahead and make arrangements.

Enchiladas y Mas
Magnolia

I've not been to any of these but Magnolia, so I don't know about space at any of them. I'm interested it whatever your favorites are. Let's get some suggestions together and I'll try to nail us down a spot this week.

Not so much drop out as not give any response. We had a few that said "sure", but no one was offering any suggestions or solid confirmation. I'd love to get together, but I don't want to set up a meeting for me to attend alone.

We can still get this going if you guys are 100%. I'd really like to.

I would like to do this and the original date of June 5th worked for me. Unfortunately, I have zero input for a good place for Migas. I'm kind of in the "if you have it, they will come" boat.

I'm in for June 5 and like Shawn, I'm no help on matters of Migas establishments. I'm game for anything within the Austin City Limits (and wish I could attend that namesake).
