August Photo challenge: Close up/Macro.

So I guess I was considered the winner of the July challenge, and get to choose this month's challenge.

I choose close up/macros images. I know not everyone has a macro lens, but get as close as you can to your subject.

Here's a few shots to stoke your creativity. Some like the water drop and flowers were shot with my cell phone in macro mode, others like the strawberry with a macro lens and focus stacking.

Very lame attempt at close up photo. R7 with RF18-150mm lens, ISO 2500, f3.5, 1/60s. I tried using my CHEAP extension tubes but they would not work with the RF-EF S adapter. So just shot at minimum focus distance and then cropped.

Tiny plant hopper nymph about a 1/4 inch at most. The white stuff all over it is a wax that they secrete. Some will form it into an elaborate tail. I guess this one decided to go for an all over coating for a zombie look. Alternate shot in photo of the day thread.

If we are voting on a favourite picture for August, I have to go with #3. The others were very good but that little guy just makes me smile.
