Audiophile"s what you got

Just wondering if anyone else is into HiFi equipment on here, i own a full cyrus system but always interested in what other kit sounds like, so post what you got and how it sounds.

The living room's got a pair of Klipsch La Scalas mated to a Decware "Zen Torii", though it almost exclusively is fed by any number of iPods.

Back when the wife's tolerance for the eyesores was higher, I had a klipsch RC-64 center, the 2 La Scalas for l/r, and 2 Heresy III's for the rear of a 5-ch system.

I just finished building a set of Zaph Audio Tower speakers (they are done, just I dont have great lighting in that room for pictures). Then picked up a Pioneer Elite Sc-55 Reciever. Currently working on another project, but Ive decided to build a matching center channel and surrounds to go with the towers.

Mostly old stuff, Early 1970's Sansui 5000 receiver amp, Teac Reel to Reel and a Teac dual cassett deck recorder. Dual 1229 turntable, Kenwood speakers and a sony cd player.

lately have been using a laptop with a logitech lap pad with speakers, or my ipod with ear buds.

Making your own speakers awesome I've got a pair of monitor audio gs60 never though about building my own.

(sigh) sadly I sold off most of my high end audio. I have moved a lot. My favorite music set up is my old technics record player, (still have some vinyl left) with a classic 70's kenwood amp with new russian bulbs, sennheiser hd600 cans, creek ob11 headphone amp, grado and cardas cables all around.
for my ht a simple pioneer surround juiced by a harmon kardon digital amp.
I love the cans, pure heaven on classical and live music, especially studio recordings.

Early 1970s McIntosh tube amp, pre amp, Harman Kardon turntable and Bose 901 speakers. Sony receiver and CD player.
I used the proceeds from my first summer job and bought the system used in about 1980-81 (less the receiver and cd player). I've since had the speakers re-coned and replaced a small handful of tubes. It still sounds fantastic, has given me almost no trouble, and probably weighs more than the engine in my car.

My signal chain:
Onix CD-3 for transport -> Signal Coax -> Muse Model 192 DAC -> Cardas cables -> Burson Audio impedance leveler -> AudioQuest cables -> Onix SP3 Integrated Amp - Zu Cables -> Paradigm Studio Reference 100 V.3 speakers

I still have my Technics turntable but I haven't started using it again. My hardware is simple yet makes a great center; Sansui speakers from 1980, simple Sony receiver and DVD player, no frills HDTV, and encabulator.

I'm building a Paradigm system right now for the new house home theater. Doing Monitor 9's for fronts, cc-390 for center, haven't decided for surrounds yet. Having the wiring integrated thru the walls and making this my dream system. Even had a 18ft barrel dome ceiling put into the room to enhance the acoustics.

Still looking for a replacement DAC, but the system currently looks something like this :

Musical Fidelity A3.2CD
Pro-ject 6 TT / Denon DL-103 / Musical Fidelity V-LPS

into

Art Audio VPL tube preamp
Art Audio Concerto tube power-amp
Zingali Naples speakers via VDH CSS-122 cables

Interconnects are a variety....
