Atra Handles

Hello there,

I'm looking for a good Atra handle for my father, he'd like to try these. I know there is a lot of Gillette Contour and Vector, on the bay, are they any good ? Or should I look for a vintage full metal handle ? If you have any suggestions.

PS: I'm asking because these aren't disponible in our Walmarts and Drugstores.

There are some very nice silver plated ones that occasionally come up for sale or auction. I have one that my parents had given me back in the early seventies. They had a really nice shape to them. I've used it off an on for over thirty years.

I would avoid the current production Gillette Contour/ Gillette Vector handles. They are super lightweight, and feel about as heavy (or even a bit less) than a disposable Bic. The overall quality is also not very good, it will get the job done, but it's certainly not luxurious.

The original all metal Atra handle is a much better solution.

I have a vector handle and the only good thing about them is the grip on the handle. The head is really sloppy
