Atomiser Question

Hi everybody, I have just purchased two atomisers that screw onto the 400ml aftershaves. (Proraso&Floid). When my wife saw my purchases she commented that for her 21st she got a Waterford crystal atomiser for her perfume and that the perfume seemed to go stale faster when stored in the atomiser. Is this because perfume is exposed to air in the atomiser or because it was left out in the light because it looked fancy having a crystal bottle? So my real question is can I just leave the atomisers on my bottles without any adverse effects or does a small amount of air get into the aftershave and ruin it over time? Would love to hear from anyone's experiences and what they do. Thanks.

According to Fendrihan's website it prolongs the life.

Leave the atomiser on.
I've had one one a bottle of Amber Floid for 2 years and it is as good as ever.

I decant aftershave into a small atomizer container & dilute. I've not had any problems.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I'm glad that I can just leave them on with no problems. Can't wait to try my Floid Mentalado Viggarasso (did I spell that right?). Along side my Proraso Green. Mmmmmm menthol heaven.
