Thank you for the feedback. Do you find the ++ too agressive? Have you tested any guarded blades with the ++ plates?
I do not find the ++ to be so aggressive that it is uncomfortable. It is a fantastic razor that, somehow, keeps its smoothness and comfort level regardless of which plate you use.
I used the guarded blades during my tryout period and did not care for them much. They did reduce the blade feel a bit, but it was at the cost of efficiency.
I must tell you that I do not have an overly coarse beard, just old man grey whiskers. I shave daily and can use the ++ daily with no irritation or BLOOD.
To me the Classic and the + are very very close, depending on the blade choice. That is why I went for a level higher to really have a different shave feel. Hope this helps.

I mentioned this a few posts back. I have both in ++ and the La Faulx is slightly more efficient. Both are comfortable shavers to me.
This is music to my ears. My 1 year old vestige ++ is the most comfortable shaver in my arsenal. Can use it daily without feeling any noticeable irritation.
I just got a La Faulx ++ delivered today, and will be using it for the first time tomorrow.
I worried that it would be too aggressive for daily shaving.
Now the size and the weight of the La Faulx shocked me a bit. I expected to be similar to the Vestige and Vector. But it does feel substantial in the hand.
Too bad my shave was so efficient yesterday that I don’t need a shave today.

I believe you’ll be happy with the La Faulx. It’s my favorite razor now. Took a few shaves to get used to the wide blade profile but now I love it. I’ll be interested to hear how your shave goes.

My first outing was a good one. I need to get used to the large head profile, as I’m used to the very small profiles of the vector and the vestige.
I used a schick p-30, and it provided a spectacular close shave leaving my skin soft. I might need to go with a Kai Pink to use daily

Nice! Glad you had a good first shave. My 2 go to blades are the P-30 and Kai Mild. They both work very well.

I also used my La Faulx today for an outstanding shave. Yes, the wide head takes some getting used to for sure. Took me a few shaves to get comfortable with it. I too have a Vector and the La Faulx feels like a tank by comparison but is a much better razor for me.

Happy shaves.

2nd shave with the La Faulx ++ is on the books. Had what I felt it was a decent shave, but the post shave results were incredible.
BBS from a 2 pass shave with a few touch ups, ending with face feeling silky smooth with zero stubble.
So far I’m happy. Seems like this beauty is highly efficient, smooth and can be used daily.
We shall see if these results can be replicated over several days

Congratulations!
Sounds like a winner!!

Sounds like it’s working for you. It will just get better and better. I find the La Faulx ++ the perfect blend of efficiency, blade feel, and comfort.

Enjoy your shaves.

I keep getting great shaves but not trilled with the overall weight and balance of the razor.
For today’s new years eve shave, I used my blackbird ti handle and the balance was greatly improved. Much better shave experience while still keeping the efficiency and legendary smoothness.
I just placed an order for a timeless ti crown handle based on @Phoenixkh positive take on it.
I’ve always kept the stock handles, but was pleasantly surprised with the results of using a ti handle

Like @Phoenixkh, I've also been using my La Faulx with a Timeless Crown handle and really like how it feels and performs. I think the combination looks great, too.

I haven't checked-in in a while and just wanted to ask as maybe more people have the razor now, is there anyone head shaving with the No. 7? If so, what baseplate/s are you using? I ordered the 1.1, but I still have the option to change it. From what I've been reading the past few days (I haven't been on any of the shaving forums for a couple of weeks prior to that), I am thinking the 1.1 might be too aggressive for me. All good if there is no head shavers here using it.
