Astra Superior - What Next?

For the past year or so, I've been using Astra Superior blades in a Merkur HD Classic. I decided to stick with one blade and master it. I feel I have done this with the Astra now. I really like its sharpness and smoothness. Very fine shaves.

However, I feel there's a little room for improvement - maybe something a little sharper to get bbs with less passes and buffing. Definitely thinking of a slant head or vision for one (which would be better?) but also...

Is there another blade I should graduate up to? Is it Feather time, or are there other sharper blades out there that are worth trying?

Feather i would say. i did the same thing with the Astras, and now go 50-50 between the Feather and Astras

Try Kai or Super Irradium, as well as the Feathers

I switch between Astras and Feathers myself. Bought a 100 pack of Astras as my go-to everyday blade (especially since they turned out to be only .13 cents a piece) and I break out a feather if I have some massive growth going on for some reason.

I don't know if I will try another blade anytime soon though as I am quite happy with the Astras. Feather is definitely more sharp but also much less forgiving...I find the Astras to be a good balance of the two.
