What's new

Astra Super Plats, Permasharp Super, Polsilver Super Iridiums

I got the following from Bestshave.net (from Turkey) today:

Astra Super Platinum (Greens)
Perma-sharp Super (the ones in a paper/cardboard packaging)
Polsilver Super Iridiums

I was looking at the manufacturing label and found that all of these are made by "ZAO Petersburg Products International, Pulkovskoye strasse 54, St. Petersburg".

Should I be concerned / worried / pleased with what I have got? I am still trying to get hold of a DE blade that suits me and will be a part of my shave den.

Regards,
Amit

PS: Btw, I tried the Astras - very smooth and Zero nicks with a cold water shave, Tabac Soap and Silvertip Shavemac Badger. I really liked them, but I felt that the Astra was dull during the 3rd pass... Am not entirely sure... Will try them again.

Nope. Have tried all three and they are different in my estimation. As you are in the process of searching for a blade that suits you, you've found three that should be considered. Not need to be concerned that they're made by the same company (and, as far as I know, they are the legitimate manufacturer of all three).

2 of those 3 I use a lot the Astra Sp and the PolSilver SI. I actually like the Polsilver SI better than the Astras

Three excellent blades. I think you'll find each of those have quite a number of people here who like them.

That plant produces a very large number of blades that are sold under difference names and brands. Maybe they're all different; maybe some are the same except for packaging. Without a mole in the plant we'll never know.
