AS with scent similar to L'Occitane Cade?

I used my L'Occitane Cade aftershave splash for the sixth or seventh time this morning. I absolutely love the scent. However, I find that I'm using up the aftershave relatively quickly. At $28 per bottle, and with the amount I feel I need to use, it is easily one of my most expensive aftershaves.

Has anyone found anything with a similar scent that is more cost effective? I'm open to both balms and splashes, with or without alcohol. It's not the $28 that gets me -- it's the fact that I'm going to finish this $28 bottle pretty quickly.

I'd be open to something that costs the same amount, but requires less product with each use. For example, I spent more money on my Penhaligon's Opus 1870 AS balm, but I don't mind spending the extra money because I need to use very little product with each application.

I've already tried Musgo Real, Alt-Innsbruck, and Proraso (splash and balm). I like them all, and enjoy their scents, but haven't found anything that I like as much as the L'Occitane splash.

Time your next purchase. The splash goes down to $18 when it's on sale. With the same usage, that'll cut your cost down by slightly more than a third.

Also, sign up for L'Occitane's emails. They'll often have some good coupons that you could apply to the splash.

I'll do that. Thanks for the tip.

I've heard that these are similar - but haven't tried them to confirm for myself:

  • Creed / Baie de Genièvre
  • Devine / L'Homme de Coeur

I like the CADE, too, and it is unique in my experience. I stocked up with a few bottles when they had a 25% off "Friends & Family" coupon a couple of months ago. I suggest you put yourself on their e-mail list -- they seem to send out nice offers on a fairly regular basis.
