As Promised, Photos Of Da Vinci 293

Okay chaps, here she is. In all her unused glory. This brush is superbly made. Craftsmanship is well evident. I have found over the years that any product with a gloss black colour will show flaws as fast as The National Enquirer will publish photos of bigfoot. This one looks pretty flawless to me. I have now used it twice and I am more than impressed with the build quality and lather making ability. No loss of bristles this morning. And I am not easy on brushes. I am still getting used to the pear shaped handle. So far it is not as comfortable as I would have imagined. If you look at the photos you can see I have some fairly large mitts. This I am sure contributes to some of it. i think it is more a matter of getting used to how it needs to be held rather than any serious flaw. What I am really amazed at is the lack of post lather bloom. This thing is DENSE. More photos to come through the week.

Cheers, Todd

As you can see, the Da Vinci looks rather small compared to the L-R Kent B&B, Savile Row 3824, Edwin Jagger B&B finest. I added the last two photos to add some perspective. I have some large-ish hands and you who own the Savile Row know it is no baby brush. The Da Vinci is significantly smaller but that is not the whole story. The knot is super dense and is only slightly smaller than the SR and nearly the same as the Edwin Jagger. It is so dense it looks more compact. Again, handle and all is smaller but whilst using I did not notice the difference. Performance is very good. I was afraid of scritch when I tried it dry but after soaking and lathering it was just fine. It actually feels very nice on the beard. Not a hint of irritation. I will post up some post lather photos as the week progresses. So far, love the hair, finding my way with the handle grip.

Cheers, Todd
