AS for travel

Can anyone suggest an AS that's solid enough not to have to go in the plastic bag to get through TSA? A wax, maybe?

I would just use a small bottle that fits with TSA requirements. I also have gotten sample bottles ordered ahead of time to take. The TSA considers anything that "smears or spreads" to be a liquid. There is variation at different airports (I once got a small container of shea butter through one airport only to have it thrown out at another).

I've had silica gel beads confiscated So I don't take chances.

Get a small shampoo sample bottle at the drugstore or one of those bottles from the hotel-sized shampoo, etc. in your room. Refill with AS. You could also get a bottle at The Container Store or a similar B&M seller.
