AS/EdT recommend for MWF

What AS and or EdT Fragrance enhances/compliments or best matches the scent from Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave soap? Something about that frag that reminds me of my Dad's Dad...Dont like covering it up with my other scented AS or EdT, but find its scent alone doesn't last too too long for me, or is only noticeable by the wife if she is breathing near my face...

I didn't think mwf even had a scent. It smells very faintly of soap to me, and the lather seems completely scentless.

to me there is something about it, some slight frag i'd like to accentuate...

I think it has a clean soap scent. No reason but I usually follow MWF with Floid amber.

TOBS Sandalwood complements MWF awesomely.

I get hints of Lavender with MWF. Try a Lavender AS and see if that works.

good recs, I'll keep an eye out for others as they come thru, but a good start...maybe i'll pick up some TOBS Sandlewood, I could use that with my Proraso red too...never been near floid to know what their scents are like...

I smell MWF and like it.

Key issue with MWF, Tabac, Mike's et al is THOROUGH RINSE post-shave. That stuff really stays with you and I for one HATE having soap on my face after the fact. Gives me the willies.

Shaving in the shower I still need a good 30 seconds under the shower head with hands busy to get it all off!

Remember though that I said complements...meaning TOBS sandalwood doesn't smell exactly like MWF but they have enough of the same notes for it to be a great follow-up. The best I've found, anyway.

I don't know how easy it would be to find Dunhill for Men 1934..... it looks like this if you can find it online somewhere:



This is definitely old school and masculine stuff like your grandfather would've worn. Lavender, leather..... I love it.
