Spent part of the day cutting more of my Roughout Steerhide for 2 1/2" and 3" strops. This material is my version of the Russian finish strops like the Illinois 827 but with a slightly softer, more "tame" surface. Still a good flesh side texture but not hard like others out there. Gives a nice heavy draw but with no stickiness that Latigo often imparts.
