Art of Shaving Kit Brushes

Are there any differences in quality for the Art of Shaving pure badger brushes that come in the kits?

I currently have the brush from the Starter kit. I am planning on ordering the Sandalwood Shave Cream, Preshave Oil, and After Shave Balm and I am wondering is the brush the set comes with is worth the extra $18 to buy the whole kit.

It is of my understanding that the brush comes with the $25.00 starter kit is of very low quality, and maybe designed only to last as long as it takes you to use up the starter kit products (about two weeks).

$18 for a better quality Badger Brush is probably a decent deal.

I am pretty sure the brush included with the Airplane Travel kit, and the full size ($100) kit are different as well.

I got the $100 kit as a gift, so I have the brush. I haven't had any of the problems that people have related about the $25 kit's brush, so I'm pretty sure it's of a higher quality. The brush gets the job done, aided by the wonderful lathering capabilities of the AoS cream. I can't say anything too outstanding about it, though.

After using it for a few weeks you may find, like I did, that it just makes you want to spend more money on a high quality brush
