Armpit shaves

What is like to shave your armpits? first i was scared the skin there is too light and it would cut, now its, i dont want little stubble on the 3rd and 4th day poking me and making it feel like its itching.

I used to laugh at guys that trimmed their pits. A right good chortle I had. However, I sweat when I work . I don't have the luxury of an air conditioned office job (I do real work). I would start to get a lot of irritation in the pit area in the summer months. I would also have to use tons of deodorant to get past the hair, which in turn caused more irritation. So I trimmed them with clippers relatively short. At first you get a bit of prickliness, but then it goes away for good after a couple days. Now I have no trouble with irritation at all and use much less deodorant.

I would never shave them smooth, thats just wrong. Just like I would never wax or shave anywhere else.

Clark Gable shaved pits and chest.

Sounds like a bloodbath if you have a few moles.

I am in school and only work at night. Therefore, I have the unfortunate opportunity to watch some daytime TV every now and again. I swear the only men on TV before before 6PM that do not shave their chests are the men on the reruns of Magnum PI.

My brother is extremely hairy and in the summer months he has to shave his underarms and crotch or else he gets brutal rashes. I think he uses the Seiko electric razor that's pretty popular for such uses for the close in work, he also uses an electric clipper when it gets too long.

Me, I'm relatively hairless in those places. Just lucky I guess.

is Magnum PI still running? that used to be one of my favourite old times , along with Sean Connery who also didnt shave his chest, well, he defintately used a DE in those days you can see it in those guys face, and the chicks dig him.

I use a regular hair trimmer and trim mine down. It doesn’t itch and it's low maintenance. I trim it down ever 1-2 months.

What in Sam Hill is going on here???????

I don't really shave my armpits because the hairs over there are fairly thin.

Isn't one of the purposes of the hairs under your armpits to sort of counter a small part of the perspiration/sweating process? I would assume that suppose you shave your armpits BBS that even with deodorant you will sweat more quickly in those areas. Again, just an impression, no scientific sources to back that up.

Being strong in my manhood (and being a nurse, you really learn that) and not afraid to admit it, I trim my pits with the hair trimmers. I have shaved but yes, the prickles are killer and well, that is way too much work. I have also found that the pit stink does not come on and that I use less deoderant and well, when you pay over 3 bucks for a stick, you want the smell of the stick, not the pit, to be the one people get.

For those that do and are interested, that is what I do. If you are not into it, so be it.

I was really expecting to see Joanna, Tina and the Sues to be talking here...

Ladies don't discuss these things.

Did you have the same expectations when you clicked on the shaved "cat" thread? Pictures perhaps?

I wish that some of the ladies that I've gone out with WOULD have discussed these things. Maybe they would have done a better job regarding their personal maintenance.
