I am thinking of trying Arko shaving cream but can't quite make up my mind. I am thinking about the citrus, lemon, menthol, and commando. Which ones have you tried and how did they smell and is it a strong smell or light? Also the menthol how menthol is it? Thanks for the feed back

I don't recall the scent but the Commando is a pretty capable cream.
I've tried the Commando and the Cool (which I think is the regular menthol). They both work very well, scent nothing to write home about. The Cool was right on the edge of being too menthol-y for me, but I have a low tolerance. I would say it's less cooling than Proraso, which was definitely too much for me.
Adventure is like a citrus ...ummm ...adrenture

. very nice and works up easily into a thick lather.I have tried the commando, the scent is right in the middle of the range for strength, it is there, but not heavy or overpowering. The performance is good, and for the price point great. At +/- 3$ a tube, why not get a few different ones to try?
I use the shave stick which, to me, just smells like guest/hotel soap.

Well yes it can be translated as that, but more literally it means "that which is strange is wonderful"
I get called "wierd" quite a lot so this is one of my favourite sayings.

SWMBO has put a limit on what I can bring in shave wise. She keeps muttering something about an intervention
I was given a stick of Arko and about to give it a try.... my question is the remaining lather.
I hear that tallow based soap is great for conditioning leather strops...and was curious to know if the Arko is suitable for this?
Sorry, I am pretty new to all this...but my strops could certainly use conditioning.
