Arko on the down low for me.
I pressed the stick into a container. It's quite malleable so there was no need for grating, just pushed it down with my thumbs and used the back of a spoon to even it out.

Heh. I never had a problem with the stuff, the scent doesn’t bother me and it’s tough to pass up a low priced tallow soap. Just slightly annoyed by the form factor but not enough to grate it into a different container. Besides, I might need to take it on a trip someday if I’m ever allowed to leave the house overnight again.

Good news guys, I will not be joining in Arko August as I have finally.managed to 3017 my Arko stick and have absolutely no intention of replacing it
I'm in for the whole month. Actually, I've already started since I am and will be away from home most of the time and that's all I brought with me. It works great!

I cheated.
I finished my last ARKO stick a few weeks ago and was going to shave with my Tabac stick until the end of July before starting my ARKO August. Yesterday I read that the true original Tabac is no longer being manufactured. To save the last of my true Tabac, this morning I opened a new stick of ARKO and shaved with it.
It was great to get back to that lovely ARKO scent and lather. I don't think I will be able to stop using it for quite some time.
Does starting ARKO August in July disqualify me from ARKO Gung-ho?

I stuck my home-made Arko puck in the back porch to air out, round about 14th July. So far, so good.
It got hot.
The good news is that it has had a thorough airing out. The bad news is that it smells like someone crashed a tanker full of industrial limonene out there.
With a bit of luck, the soap will be toned down for 1st Aug.
