2nd Arko shave
Pre-war Gold Tech, Bic Astor and my first outing with the Mühle STF 19mm.
I gave it 30 whirls this time and I honestly thought this will not work with such a small brush. It did, not in big billowing clouds but in a thin coat of slick lather. I didn’t had to reload and could have squeezed out a 4th pass from the brush. What else? It feels quite natural and is more for painting than whirling maybe I have to use a bit more pressure to open it up. It lost 2 bristles but I’m not worried. After cleaning it look again very sparse but obviously it gets the job done.
On the Duru Kolonya it feels fresh like lemon zest and not like the expected industrial cleaner. I liked it so much that I used it as AS and body slpash - at EUR 8.50 for 400ml not an issue at all.
All in all a lovely DFS+ shave!

So, today was day two of ARKO August and yesterday's and today's shaves were both with ARKO, a Simpson's #46 Berkeley in Best Badger, and a Gillette Slim set to 7 with an Wizamet Super Iridium blade.

First shave with Arko in the country house.
8 days beard. Cold water shave.

Once you realize that Kirko, Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the Shaving Universe, is stronger than your puny Emporer, you will see the light.

Kamisori with a Schick Proline blade (1)

Razorock 400 Noir brush
Duru Limon. Excellent aftershave, pairs very well with Arko
Using an injector blade in the kamisori is light years ahead of a half DE blade. Way better shave, don't see me using a half DE blade ever again.

Day 3 of Arko August deserved a proper family photo.
And just look at all that lather!
The shave went great, getting the hang of the Karve more and more. It’s a finnicky optimal angle. There might have been a tiny bit too much water in the lather, will micro adjust tomorrow.

The Shave: WTG/ATG with a goatee XTG touch up. The Barbasol Floating Head is pretty awesome: definitely efficient, blade feel/aggression changes significantly based on shallow vs steep shaving, and smooth. My favorite DE to date.
The Omega Premium Jade Boar has a great reputation/following because it excels in every facet of lathering. A shaver could buy two of these to rotate and never need or desire another brush for years and years. (But, what fun is that? Plus, @SgtCrppls would probably hunt you down for a stern talking to!!! LOL. Full disclosure: I’d come along for fun.)

Tuesday morning ARKO shave #3, Occam's Razor, Feather Pro AC (6), Simpson Berkeley 46 in Best, ARKO stick in a tin: I put a stick in a tin to try and it worked fine; I'll cut it into medallions and add a leftover stick to actually make a puck today- maybe I can use more up this way, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS:
